In Honor of Dr. Stanley Rosner (1928-2019)
Dr. Stanley Rosner founded the Counseling and Psychotherapy Group in
1975.
As a clinical psychologist practicing in Fairfield County for over 40
years, he was dedicated to his patients, highly respected by the
community and his colleagues in the field of Psychotherapy.
Dr. Rosner was president of the Connecticut Psychological Association
and Fellow of the American Psychological Association and the Society of
Personality Assessment. Dr. Rosner authored more than 30 journal
articles and five
books. He was the co-author of three books on creativity and
of THE MARRIAGE GAP; a study of dysfunctional marriages, and of THE
SELF- SABOTAGE CYCLE; Why We Repeat Behaviors That Create Hardships and
Ruin Relationships. Dr. Rosner appeared extensively on radio and
television.
Elisa Rosner, Psy.D.
Elisa Rosner, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist
in Connecticut and New York. She received her doctorate
from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva
University. In addition, she also pursued postdoctoral
training at the New York University Postdoctoral Program
in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.
Dr. Rosner works with children, adolescents, adults, and
couples. Prior to joining The Counseling and
Psychotherapy Group, she served as Senior Psychologist
at Interfaith Medical Center where, in addition to her
clinical responsibilities, she supervised staff as well
as psychology interns and externs. She taught seminars
to students in personality theory and psychoanalytic
theories of psychoses. Dr. Rosner has also been a Group
Instructor for medical students at Albert Einstein
College of Medicine as part of a course on
psychopathology. Her current interests include the
changing definitions and constellations of "family"
given societal shifts and new reproductive technology.
She is a member of the American Psychological
Association and the New York State Psychological
Association.
Blanche Rosner, D.S.W.
Blanche Rosner, D.S.W. has practiced psychotherapy for
over 30 years in
Fairfield County. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she
is a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. She received her
Doctorate from Columbia University in 1980. Press
